About Norton Plumbing

Norton Plumbing is a family-owned team that's been part of the Eastern Suburbs community since 2019. Adam Norton, our co-owner and primary plumber, has been on the tools for over 15 years and holds NSW plumbing licence 397768C. Blake and other licensed plumbers work alongside him on most jobs. The business is co-owned and run by Adam and his wife Rebecca, and we're a member of Master Plumbers NSW.

We service Sydney's Eastern Suburbs from our Coogee base. Core service area includes Coogee, Bondi, Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction, Randwick, Maroubra, Bronte, Clovelly, Tamarama, Paddington, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse and Waverley. We typically reach most addresses within a 30-minute drive.

Yes. Adam holds NSW plumbing licence 397768C. The business is fully insured for public liability and the work itself, and is a member of Master Plumbers NSW. We provide compliance certificates for all gas and major plumbing work as standard.

Pricing and quotes

No callout fee during business hours (Mon-Fri 7am-6pm, Sat 8am-1pm). After-hours emergency callouts have a fee we explain on the phone before we come out, so you decide whether to proceed. Either way, the actual work is quoted on-site at a fixed price you agree to before we start.

We provide upfront, fixed pricing, quoted and agreed before any work begins. Every job is different, so we assess on-site, explain what we find, and quote in writing. You agree before we touch a tool. No surprises on the invoice. We'll work with you to find the best-value option that meets your needs.

We don't inflate our rates because it's 2am or a weekend. After-hours callouts have a callout fee we explain on the phone first. Once we're on-site, the actual work is quoted at the same upfront fixed price you'd get during business hours.

Booking and response times

Call us on 0477 858 951 - that's the fastest way for both standard and emergency jobs. You can also fill in the quote form on any service page and we'll call you back within business hours. For emergencies after hours, always call - the number is staffed 24/7.

From our Coogee base, response times are typically under 20 minutes within Coogee, Clovelly, Randwick, Bondi, Bronte and Maroubra. For 24/7 emergencies (burst pipe, gas leak, sewage backup) we aim for a 30-minute response across the whole Eastern Suburbs service area.

Your address, a brief description of the problem, and what you've already tried (if anything). For emergencies, the location of your water mains shut-off if you know it. We'll guide you over the phone on what to do while you wait. Photos are useful for non-emergency jobs but not required.

Emergencies

A burst pipe, a flexi hose burst, sewage backing up through any fixture, a gas leak (smell of rotten egg gas), no water supply at all, complete hot water failure in winter, or anything where water is actively damaging your home. If in doubt, call - we'll triage on the phone.

Turn off the water at the mains (a tap near your water meter at the front of the property). For a gas leak, turn off the gas at the meter and open windows. Move valuables and electronics away from any pooling water. Do not switch lights or electrical equipment on or off near gas leaks.

Yes. The phone number is staffed around the clock for genuine emergencies. Outside business hours we triage every call and dispatch the closest available plumber. After-hours work has a callout fee that we explain on the phone before we come out, so you decide whether to proceed.

Strata, apartments and ongoing maintenance

Yes. We work with strata committees and managers across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. We provide AGM-ready condition reports with photos, prioritised quotes, and clear common-property vs lot-owner distinctions where relevant. Strata managers can engage us directly on behalf of buildings.

Yes. We provide annual maintenance agreements for strata buildings and individual investor-owners. These cover scheduled plumbing inspections, riser CCTV scans where relevant, hot water plant servicing, and an annual condition report. Pricing is quoted per building based on size and scope.

It depends on whether the problem is in common property or in your lot. NSW strata law (overseen by NSW Fair Trading) generally puts risers, common stacks, and central hot water plants on the body corporate, and pipes and fittings inside your lot on the owner. By-laws can vary. We assess on-site and provide written evidence to support cost allocation.
